The SRC Community Relations Committee is proud to sponsor Harmony House's iCare campaign again this year.
On October 28th, the subsidiaries of SRC will all wear black eye patches to show our support for the charity and its efforts to raise awareness of domestic violence in our area.
According to Harmony House, Greene County has more domestic violence per capita than anywhere else in the state. So far in 2016, domestic violence aggravated assaults are up by 16% over the same time last year. Harmony House had to turn away 1,905 adults and children in 2015 due to lack of bed space.
With the iCare campaign we will save lives. Domestic violence doesn’t have to happen and we hope by bringing it out from behind closed doors we can end it. The funds raised by this event will help Harmony House work with survivors and break the cycle of violence in their lives.
