MOVEMBER is in full force now at NewStream Enterprises.
A group of employees have graciously donated their faces to the cause. Throughout the month of November, participants from our Springfield and Joliet locations will grow their 'stache to show their support and raise funds for prostate cancer and other men's health initiatives.
How do they raise funds? NSE employees will vote on their favorite 'stache from November 1 through 30 by donating their cash ($1 = 1 vote). The participant with the most money raised will win!
Prizes | There will be prizes (TBD) for the top Movember participants. Additionally, those who vote (with their moolah!) will receive the coveted NSE mustache koozie. Then, at the end of the campaign, there will be two random people drawn from all who donated to win either a Sony portable bluetooth speaker or $50 gift card!
Corporate awards | This campaign isn’t isolated to NSE. As in year’s past, there will be corporate awards for the best mustaches, as well! The MOscars award ceremony will be held at the December SRC Holdings Corporate Staff meeting, complete with corporate recognition and MOscar trophies.
History | Since 2011, the companies and joint ventures of SRC Holdings have joined forces to raise funds for men's health initiatives through the Movember campaign. In doing so, the companies have raised over $43,000.
Donate to the cause | You too can donate to the cause! Donate directly to our team on our NSE Movember page, or choose a specific participant from our page by clicking on their profile.
About Movember | Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends face a health crisis that isn’t being talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent. That’s why we’re taking action. We’re the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. We’re addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. We know what works for men, and how to find and fund the most innovative research to have both a global and local impact. We're independent of government funding, so we can challenge the status quo and invest quicker in what works. In 13 years we’ve funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world. By 2030 we’ll reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%. Help us stop men dying too young. Join the movement. Learn more at Movember.com.
