NewStream Enterprises, LLC (NewStream) is pleased to announce the promotions of Mary Bryant and Zac Buxton to the positions of Senior Staff Accountants, effective September 16th, 2021. This promotion is part of NewStream’s strategy for cross-training the accounting team and is an integral part of our succession planning process, which we strive to promote from within whenever possible. We strive to develop every team member at every level with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to enable all teammates to take their careers to the top if they so choose.
Mary started as an Accounting Intern at NewStream in 2011, assisting with Accounts Payable, freight processing, and disputing quantity debits from our largest customer. In 2014, she became a full-time employee as a Staff Accountant after graduating from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Finance. Throughout the years, she has worked on hourly payroll, monitoring capital items, processing checks to our vendors, processing quotes to our customers, posting and monitoring customer payments and past dues, assisting with weekly financial projections, and served as an integral part of NSE’s budget, tax, and audit requirements.
Zac has been with NewStream since 2017 as a Staff Accountant, being responsible for customer billing, freight payables, and handling the financial reporting for our Joliet, Illinois facility (now moved to Springfield, Missouri) business. Zac also served as an integral part of NewStream’s budget, tax, and audit requirements.
In their new roles, Mary and Zac will be responsible for financial closing and collaborating with other departments to deliver information and data as needed, as well as looking for ways to improve our present processes.
“I’m excited to continue growing my knowledge and experience at NewStream by adding a focus on creating efficiencies, data analysis, and tackling special projects that arise,” said Mary.
