A Culture of Employee Owners
Own Your Career Literally
Own Your Career
We act like we own the place… because we do.
Everyone who visits our facilities says the same thing: Your employee culture is unlike anything we have ever seen before. Our culture is characterized by three components—open-book management, employee ownership, and team-oriented competition.
The SRC approach to running a company was developed to help close one of the biggest gaps in business—the gap between managers and employees. We call our open-book approach The Great Game of Business. What lies at the heart of The Game is a very simple proposition: The best, most efficient, most profitable way to operate a business is to give everybody in the company a voice in saying how the company is run and a stake in the financial outcome, good or bad. We embrace Transparency as we share information, either positive or negative with our employees at all levels. For us, our success is dependent upon the collective energy, intelligence, and contribution of all team members.

In some ways, we see “business” as incidental to what we do. Our real business is education. We teach people about business and give employees the knowledge and tools to help them understand:
- What winning means in business
- How to track, measure, and improve performance
- How to share in a self-funding stake in the outcome … to win or lose as a team
Innovation is another value that we support. We encourage our employee-owners to be bold and apply original thinking, strive to constantly drive improvement, imagine the ideal outcome, and be resourceful to make the outcome a reality. Our ultimate goal is to create a “business of business people” who think, act, and feel like owners. Open-book management is one of the key components of our approach, though it is only a portion of our overall process.
At NewStream, we create and support a Fun atmosphere, whether internal activities or efforts within the community, that stimulates a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable work environment.
A Business of Business People

Career Development
Business Literacy and Ownership
At NewStream Enterprises, employee-owners are trained to treat business as a game. Business has all the elements of a game: rules, a scorecard, and a reward for winning. This includes education on how to read and interpret the company’s Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and Balance Sheet. More importantly, the employee-owners are taught how they can impact these financials to create wealth for the company, and in turn, themselves.
